ABOUT RICK LEESON

Rick Leeson is a full-time craftsman in the Pacific Northwest. He has been working with hot iron since 1990. Rick's bladesmithing skills got their start at the American Bladesmith School in Washington Park, Arkansas and his blacksmithing knowledge grew through SOFA (Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil). Over the years Rick has honed his skills at various blacksmithing and bladesmithing workshops and conferences.

Many people have enjoyed his local forging demonstrations at Hovander Park and Pioneer Park in Ferndale, WA. He also demonstrates at the Lynden Historical Museum, Lynden, WA. Scout troops take field trips to Rick's shop to watch the blacksmith.

Rick is a member of ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America), and NWBA (North West Blacksmith Association).

My formal education includes an Engineering Technology Degree.
